Description
Our Free Range Bronze Turkeys are from Woolley Park Farm, Bradford on Avon. Here the birds roam freely in the Wiltshire countryside, are traditionally dry plucked and then hung for 3-14 days in cold rooms. This process helps preserve the natural texture and enhance the superior flavour of the bird. All birds supplied include giblets.
A bronze turkey may have a few black feather quills left in the bird. they are harmless and any that may be left will shrivel up during cooking. Do not try removing them with tweezers on Christmas day, there are many more exciting and exciting things to be doing!
Jane Giddins –
I have no idea why anyone would not love turkey! I always buy my bronze turkey from Newton Farm Shop, make giblet stock on Xmas eve for gravy, cook it really slowly for 12 hours and honestly it is the best meal I eat all year. Full of flavour, moist and totally delicious!
